MAKING THE COMMUTE EASIER

Embankment’s transport options make it an extremely easy place to reach.

TRAIN

ONLY A FOUR MINUTE WALK

Over the last few years, Manchester Victoria – the city’s second largest mainline station – has been transformed into a major new hub for local, regional and national services. It now includes a new Metrolink stop, which is part of a £1.5 billion investment programme in the city’s tram network.

Manchester Victoria provides services northwards to towns in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire, and to Liverpool. It’s a vital station for the region, with 8.25 million rail passengers travelling through it last year.

The opening of the Orsdall Chord railway bridge has improved connectivity between Victoria, Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations, resulting in more frequent trains to Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle and Hull. Linked by the Chord, passengers travelling to Piccadilly Station from South Manchester, Cheshire, Staffordshire, North East England, London and other major destinations can now easily plan journeys via Victoria.

TRAM

JUST FOUR MINUTES AWAY

Leave your office at Embankment, and you can jump on a tram at Victoria or Exchange Square within minutes. With a 6 minute direct service to the south of the city on the Didsbury and Chorlton line, and a 12 minute direct service to the north of the city on the Rochdale and Oldham line, this is a quieter, greener way to get to your destination.

Metrolink is the UK’s largest light rail network covering 65 miles, and with its recent expansion to Trafford Park, carried 44.3 million passengers through 99 stations last year.

BUS

BUS STOPS RIGHT OUTSIDE

The wider Greater Manchester area is well served by an extensive bus network, and Embankment is right at the heart of it. A short walk away at Shudehill Interchange transport hub, you will have many more options to travel around the region.

Shudehill Transport Interchange operates frequent bus services to destinations in the north and west of Greater Manchester. Additionally, there are Megabus routes around the UK and Terravision’s A40 service to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

FREE BUS

ON YOUR DOORSTEP

The free city centre service leaves from right outside Embankment, linking all the main rail stations, car parks and shopping areas in Manchester’s city centre.

Running a 10 minute service from early morning until 10pm Monday to Saturday, the Free Bus offers two routes around the city which has now been extended to include Salford Central station during peak times.
